The keyword table shows which terms you repeat most and what share of the text each one takes. Common words such as the, and, of are filtered out by default so the list reflects your actual topic. In a 1,500 word article, a single keyword sitting above roughly 3 percent usually starts to read as repetitive. Nothing you paste leaves the browser, so unpublished drafts stay on your own machine.

Frequently asked questions
How is a word counted here?
Any run of characters separated by spaces, tabs or line breaks counts as one word. So "e-mail" and "don't" each count once, while "New York" counts as two. Numbers and dates count as words too, which matches how editors and most publishing style guides count.
How do you count paragraphs?
Every non empty line counts as a paragraph, so blank lines between blocks are ignored. If you press Enter once between paragraphs, the count matches what you see. Text pasted as one long line with no breaks will show a single paragraph even when it reads as several.
Why is reading time set to 225 words per minute?
Adult silent reading of general prose usually lands between 200 and 250 words per minute, so 225 sits in the middle. Technical or academic material reads slower, closer to 150. Change the number in the field and both the reading estimate and the report update straight away.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. All counting happens in JavaScript inside your browser tab, with no upload, no server call and no storage. Closing or refreshing the page clears everything, so copy the report first if you want to keep it. Confidential drafts are safe to paste in.
